Exclamation Quick help needed

Hey, 2 nights ago i was making a three point turn down this really dark street. I was going about less than 5 mph, and when i went to make the turn i hit the curb with my front right tire. i got out to check everything seemed ok.

but last night there is a sound of like grinding on that side when i apply the breaks, i didnt hear that sound all day.

I was wondering is it the brakes or maybe i messed something up
Only good thing was i hit my hub cap, not my rims

take the wheels off and check the brakes or steering links, if anything is damaged you will probably be able to see

umm....Usually pads dont just snap!

You bent a control arm and your rim is rubbing, or you bent up your hub and your rotor is rubbing....or you bent up your hub and your bearing is chewing itself apart.

Thats what I think anyway....I have never heard of someone curb surfing and snapping a pad!!!

Let us know what happened though....and please correct me if I'm wrong!

you're right, i'd be almost impossible to snap a pad by just hitting a curb at 5mph, honestly even in racing circumstances i've never heard of pads ever breaking. hope that there's no serious damage.

Hey guys, turned out my brakes were just going, and they just were bad.
The pads were bare metal verses metal

Pretty good for having the car two yrs and never doing any mechanical work besides oil changes and a wheel alignment

All is good now, new brakes
