Is gas shock strut worth it?

Both of my rear shock struts need replacement. I've been wondering if gas shock is worth it? I am trying to "luxurize" my 1993 Toyota Camry LE v6. Do anyone have better suggestion?

Thanks

Most struts already use 'gas' inside the the fluid chamber to suppress foaming of the oil.

It seems that you are being advertised a gas charged strut as being better than a standard one. What brand or model of struts are you considering?

I spoke with one of my friends who claimed to be a "Mechanic", he highly recommended that I replace my current struts with gas. I'm a newbie in these things.

What is wrong with your shocks? Are your wheels bouncing? Is your car wallowing? Follow your car down the highway and see how the wheels stick to the road. It is alot more than shocks that affect ride comfort.

Good luck and happy driving

Oh and the basic system is a gas/fluid metering valve with. So do not get fooled about gas shocks. Gas is compression and fluid is solid. If your shocks are gone get a good OEM replacement set.

Just my 2 cents

Edit" and darn it you have checked the wheel balance right? sounds stupid but you would be amazed
