3sgte maf/afm sensor

Hello everyone,

I know there have been many threads on that topic but didn't manage to find an answer to my problem.
I just bought a mass air flow sensor that came off a jdm 93 celica alltrac 3sgte which I found on ebay. I am looking to use to turbocharge my 5sfe but I have a problem. I am thinking that I probably didn't get the right maf sensor since my plug has 3 wires and the sensor I bought has got ... 7. So what is the problem ? I don't have the car here so I can't see if I could by some way adapt it but I remember there were only 3 wires. Any ideas or suggestions ? If it is not the right part, is there any way to adapt it ? Any diagram available ?

Thank you !

You bought the wrong sensor.

5S-FE's use a MAP (manifold absolute pressure) sensor.

What you bought is a AFM (air flow meter).

You need a MAP sensor from a 3S-GTE.
