Oil, plugs wires all maint.

I have a 93 v6 cam. I am about to do all the basic stuff but am thinkin about change, Summer is about here and temps will average between 70-90 degrees F. so here is what I am running now
castrol 10w30 NON synthetic just regular and its high mileage
mobile 1 oil filter
bosch platinum +2 plugs
ultra spark plug wires
castrol tranny fluid
green coolant Prestone

So my questions are, at 159,000 miles should i continue with this oil brand and weight or would changing to 1. synthetic 2.mobile 1 and 3. a different grade or weight be wise. and what filter should i get and what is an additive, i keep readin about for oil, is it good and if so what shoul i get
second what is the best plugs and wires to get,
Third should I switch to toyotas red coolant
and last what is the transmision fluid I should use
and for a different qustion, is there a difference in our tranny fluid and the differential fluid if so whats the best differential fluid
and explain if possible how to do a tranny flush, thanks sorry so long, and is there anything else i should do. thanks

i don't know much about others but i'm pretty certain that you need to change the viscosity of the engine oil as your engine ages. I'm suprised that you're still using 10w-30 oil at that mileage... I heard that you should replace with 10w-40 (a bit thicker oil) as your engine hits 100k miles because of oil leaking in the combustion chamber due to the wear and tear of the cylinders, pistons, and rings. Go check if you are burning any oil. I wouldn't dare put any of those fancy pants mobil one 5w-30 full synthetic oil. You'll burn 'em like gasoline...

unless you're burning oil, stick to what you're using (i run mobil 1 5w30 on my 92 v6 with 230k kms)

i think iridium plugs are suggested, for wires, whatever, stock

for the tranny fluid, i'd have to say mobil 1

as for the coolant, whenever you get around to it, flush it out and put the red stuff back in

for the diff, i'd say pretty much any gear oil, unless you want to get some really expensive racing stuff

and here we go for the ghetto tranny flush

you undo the 2 hoses from the rad, put the out in a bucket, and the other in a container of fresh tranny fluid

make sure your car won't fire up, take off the power to the ignition coil or something, then crank the car in 5-10 second spurts till the fluid coming out looks like the new stuff

so should i switch to mobile 1 even or just stick with castrol, my biggest issue is the ticking when its gets hot, especially when i run it real hard, but i dont do that often, so since its getting hotter i figured thicker so what do you think

prob. the valves its internal, i hear it in alot of imports, like a clock tick but louder of course, how much is a valve adjustment or can i do that myself

also while im on the subject what does a knock sensor do, i dont think its relavant but just curious
and so should i stick with castrol and go mobile and should i go from 10w30 to 10w40 or stay the same
sorry so many questions
