WHAT Is This SLUDGE Problem I'm Hearnig About?

When I opened up the valve cover on my 2.2L 4cyl engine this weekend just to see inside the FIRST thing I noticed was "WOW...this guy didnt change his oil often...its pretty brown in here"

SLUDGE caused the brown.

THEN...I come on here and people are talking about a SLUDGE PROBLEM with the engines!

What is the problem?

Was there a design flaw in the PCV system or something?

Should I address this problem right away?

Can someone give me a link to a thread where this topic is discussed?

Any information would be greatly appreciated!

PS..right now my engine oil is BEAUTIFUL and I change it every 5000 KMS. It does not even get a chance to go black before I change it!
