Has anyone have probs getting an alignment at the shops? I brought my car in to Dunn tire in Buffalo and they couldnt do it bc they claim the parts for alignment are touching my car. I tried calling several places (dealer, monroe, midas) and they all say they couldnt do it. Has anyone had their alignment done in other franchise shops that they could recommend? I've had my 17 inch wheels installed and figure i need an alignment bc it pulls to the left some times. Also, how much air should i have in my tires? Thanks
as far as the suspension alignment goes i would susggest to get a camber/alignment kit, although that shouldn't be the reason y they can't align your car, but if you have 17s and you have lowering sprnigs (i'm not sure fi you do) they might not be able to get your car back to factory specs.
For the tire pressure, look in your glove b ox and look at the pressure it says there. Then look at your tires and read the pressure it says max. Then take the average of the two and thats usually a good starting point. Then adjsut from there.

my car has been lowered, and thaz the main reason why they cant do the alignment. Dunn tire claim that the parts for alignment touches the bottom of my car and Midas and other places claim they couldnt get my car on the lift. I dont know much about cars. The only thing i've done myself is an oil change. That's why I wanted shops to do it for me.
Here's a lit of my mods if it helps.
Eibach springs, KYB shocks, 17" 5zigen Rims, Continental tires, Front Whiteline sway bar, Rear TRD Sway bar, Front TRD strut bar. GB Brake Line Kit, Front BRembo pads and rotors.
Eibachs springs should not stop them from being able to align your car. Look for a place that works only on alignment and suspensions near your are, they'll have no problem doing it. I still do suggest you get the camber/alignment kit.

Which camber/alignment kits good? OBX costs 17 dollars, and other brands costs 100+. Should I just get the front or both front and rears? With that kit, it should fix my alignment right? I might just drive down to NYC to have it done, since most places here cant do it. There's no shop that just do alignments.
talk to the performance shop in your area, some might be able to help you, and they're used to dealing with lowered cars, having to make ramps out of wood to get onto a lift, or jacking the car up before the paws for the lift can be swung in
Originally posted by luisitol I know Eibach makes one, i think you can find it on www.nopi.com. they're like $40. You could get both but i would make sure you get the front.
if you come to NYC, let me know we can meet up

Im going to ask a mechanic if he installs camber kits for me. then ill do the alignment in nyc. I'll def pm you when i go down, but that will be maybe end of march or begnning of april.
