I just got a neon tube for my trunk and I plan to tap into the existing trunk light for power and ground. Is this a bad idea? I am assuming that if I tap into that line, my neon will turn on when the trunk is open and off when it is closed. Am I correct?
Also, does anyone know where the switch is for the trunk light and how it looks?
Thanks.

While on the topic of neon...I was wondering...Is there any differance in brands? Like is there anything that makes street glow superior to other brands? Or is it just a name.
Hey ive done a similar project, i have 2 neon rings around my subs that light when i open the trunk
real easy to do, just have a inline fuse, pm if you need any help
thanks for the responses guys. now can someone tell me what the trunk switch for the light looks like and where it is located? i think mine may be faulty as my trunk light sometimes doesn't shut off when i shut the trunk.
