real quick question....moderators....close this once the question is answered please so we dont get offtrack shit in here....when makin ur CAI....what kind of PVC clamps should i use...the ones at Home Depot are actually Fernco 2" to 2" couplings with the steel clamps on them....i emailed the customer service at Fernco and asked what temp. the rubber can withstand....they said 120 degrees....last time i checked the engine temp. was way above that....so my question is...to all u guys who have made one in the past....are these the things u used....r they even the right thing to buy since they r couplings...and if they r what u got...how have they withstood in ur engine...thanks

dont use regular ol pvc piping... those things can do bad things when exposed to high heat. theres a certain kind of pvc you can use (i forget what grade), so look out for something like that. and why not use aluminum or steel piping? it'd probably look much nicer too.
i got the 2.5 cus its what many people have told me....and AEM uses the 2.5 inch pipe to i guess make the induction faster or somethin like that....sarg told me to get it, so did the DIY directions...so....i took the 2.5
