I have a '92 camry with the 3vzfe and tomorrow I'll swap the engine for one with lower millage and that doesn't need a piston rings + gaskets + etc.. job to be done
Looks like the life of my engine is ending.. it's smoking a lot of coolant and I got a deal at naganojapanese.com for a 3vzfe with ~40-50000km (mine have 318000km on it)
I was wondering.. is there a lot of difference between the jdm (importated from japan) engine for a 3vzfe ?
It seems that it have a BIG difference for civic and others from honda.. but I have never seen someone being proud to tell to people that he haves a jdm engine in a camry or any toyota..
I'll bring the laptop and a webcam in the garage and do a little video of the swap.. Ben-RR will help me with that and we should get done by friday.
After that, the only thing missing will be a turbo installation by Ben-RR.. We will try our best to do that for the meeting in august
it should be turboed well befor augest man because there is a list of people needing that turbo for augest as well....godd luck ith the swap its not hard at all. Just label is my best advice. As far as the JDM engine if its a good deal get it but dont get it just because its JDM i have seen no difference....except that hard to read writing Lol!

For the turbo, I hope it will be installed as soon as possible
Labeling: GOOD IDEA !
Here is a pict:
In the garage, things are starting to get off.. tomorrow, we should remove the engine and we will take a lot of pics
Sorry for the quality, i took the pics with my cellphone.. tomorrow the battery for my digital camera will be working and I will have better pics
For today, we focused on getting all the stuff we need to work in the garage..
After Ben-RR left, I continued working on the car, there is not much stuff hanging on the engine, most of the stuff is removed.. tomorrow we should have enough time to install the new engine.. friday will be for the final touch-ups
