I have a 91 Camry. I just put new wheels & tires, tinted the windows and a new stereo in. And BANG, yesterday it didnt want to start and when it does, when I put my foot on the gas it kinda chokes its self out. Once I get it going and up to speed I dont have any problems. It has happened a couple times before, but always goes away. Can anyone give me any ideas?
I agree with the Oldman ( ). Check your ignition system. Check the coil first, that's what it sounds like to me... While you are at it, you might as well do your plugs, wires+cap, rotor, etc... Then you won't be having any problems for a while with that. Get genuine Toyota components for the ignition system if you can afford them - they are better than most aftermarket options.

Determine wether its fuel delivery or ignition problems and then work your way back from there.
Sounds like your TPS is crapping out.
If you need a new distributor PM me and I will get you a deal on one! It comes with a cap and rotor!
I can also get you a good deal on a set of wires!
OEM wires are about 60 bones Canadian and I can go for a nice FAT set of aftermarket ones for 100-150 Canadian depending on what you want....and what colour!
honestly i have had that problem twice out of my camry and my 90 corolla it was a ground in the camry touching the plug wires causing a misfire and in the corolla it was the battery too close to the distributor and causing it to ground out the spark fire
so just check your wires and such it may be that simple for you also goodluck
