I installed my air intake yesterday sounds phat..but when should I change my filter? Every 6 months? Can I clean the filter by myself instead of replacing it all the time? If I have to change it where can I get it for my 1992 Toyota Camry 4 cyl. Thanks.

if you have a K + N filter you can buy a recharge kit to clean it for about $10.00; it includes the cleaning element and the recharge element.

The filter that came with your intake should be washable.

Now is the filtering media cotton guaze like the K&N's or foam? You have to use different oils and cleaners depending on what it is.

If it's cotton guaze you can use the K&N cleaning kit (comes with cleaner and oil). If its foam you can goto a motorcycle shop and get cleaner and oil for foam air filters.

My buddies use the Uni cleaner and oil for the foam air filters on their dirt bikes.
