Stripe removal?

Any way to remove the blue stripes from my Camry?
I searched the forum and couldn't find anything.

If it requires taking it into a shop, I'll forget it, but if it's something I can do myself, I'll do it.

Thanks.

You think that'll cut it with an actual factory decal?

Maybe I'll give it a whirl. Anyone else actually do this?
I don't want to get half way done and realize I can't get the rest, you know?

are you talking about the pinstripes? If you are, then just use a heat gun or blowdrier. I hear it works fine.

If you're talking about a bigger decal/vinyl (altho I've never seen vinyl on a Gen3 Cam before...esp. from the factory), then I suppose you'd have to leave it on or take it to a shop.

Thanks. I'm talking about the pinstripe. I'll give it a whirl tomorrow. I think I may consider buying a heat-gun, the more I read through this forum, the more handy one seems.

You did a search? Wow, I guess the TN search engine is really starting to suck?

Anyways, have you tried using a credit card?

Yes, I tried "stripe removal" "decal removal" "decal remove" "stripe remove" and got nothing.

To scrape them off with?
Do you mean in combination with a hair-dryer/heatgun or just by itself?

I need to wait for a nicer day, where I can grab an extension cord and steal a hair dryer from my girlfriend or mother.

Just did mine today, MAN! 11 years old and what a pain in the ass! The stripes came right off, but the glue holding them on, that was another story.

little update, I tried to use my license to scrape it (I don't have a credit card) but it's not coming off at all.

I'm going to use a hair drier soon, and see if I have any better luck with that.
