Question brake warning light is on?

lately, perhaps a day or two after i put my new rims on, the brake warning light has come up on my dash. the car still brakes fine, none of the brake globes are gone, and after about 40min of driving the light will go off. also i checked the brake fluid reservoir, the fluid is a third of the way up between the min and max lines. this is quite annoying, and i want to solve this problem, can you guys help.

Oh and it's Gen 2 BTW.

I have the same problem with mine (gen3). Brake pads are new, oil level is at max and the light is sometimes on (generally as soon as I brake and then stays on). I have the impression it might be the float.
