I replaced the two license plate bulbs on my 97 Camry and they still don't work. Anyone have any ideas on any other areas I should check? Maybe a fuse or other problem areas that could cause this. I was pulled over and given a ticket the other night for these being burnt out.

check the socket for corrosion, try cleaning it out, check the wires, turn your lights on whne you check in case you didn't :P

If there is no corrosion on the sockets, then check the loom of wires inside the trunk by the driver's side trunk hinge. Those wires can frey and break from all the flexing they are exposed to as the trunk is constantly opened and closed over the years. Open up that loom of wires and check for freyed or broken wires. Repair what you find.
