Question Car sometime Stalls on Complete Stop

I have a 96 Camry. When I come to a complete stop (Toll), after running the car on the highway for about 20min at speeds of 65. The car starts to vibrate hard and try’s to cut off. Sometime it does and sometime it doesn’t. By the way it runs great on the highway. What can be wrong with my car?

How do you do a compression test?

I'll try and look it up on the web.

Thanks

Go to any garage and ask for a compression test. It only takes a few minutes and you'll know.
If they are alright (which I hope for you ...) it could be the TPS (Throttle position sensor) or the idle air control valve. (both located on your throttle body. These are damn expensive. Could be many things as well in fact.

If your compresion test is ok, check your EGR valve. A 96 car might have some carbon deposits on the shaft of the egr valve and gets stuck open after a hway drive. As Nico said it might be several things, but start checking the simple ones.
