Does anyone know where I can get rid of the old alloy wheel? Do Les Schwab, Tire Discount,... want them? Can I use them to exchange part of a new set of tires?
Can someone tell me where to trash the waste brake fluid and power steering fluid? Kragen just like my waste motor oil.
Here in Canada (my province). All garages will take the oil. Also we have a toxic pick up twice a year. Being in Cal I am sure you have similar deals. They are very tight on toxic dumping. Do not put in recycle as suggested or dump down the toilet.
Steel wheels will be taken by dumps for free they make money on the steel. But not enough for them to pay you to take them just enough so they take them free.
I cannot believe you thanked someone for suggestion of putting it in recycle.

I read on the internet, and they say alloy wheels are hard to recycle. I'm going to change to a new set of wheels, so I'm afraid that no one can take my old ones. As you said, I can give them away to the garage.

By alloy and not steel, you are talking about aluminum. They will snap them up in a second. An if they are aluminum and in good shape you might be able to sell them.
The comment about the garage was over the used oil.
I pay a lot of attention to where i recycle and what, i will go to plenty of trouble to find the right and proper place to dump it not just toss it in the dumpster and hope no one notice - how very irresponsible of some to suggest such a thing. BAD MAN!

Here in Quebec we pay a tax on tires and oils and such. So all places just take it. We prepaid (when we bought new). Saves that dumping garbage.
EDIT: that did not make the best sense. We prepay to get rid of those toxic products in a form of a tax.

Thanks for replying me! I'm living in Seattle, WA; but I'm not sure if the recycling centers want these wheels and where they want me to put them in.
My understanding about cars is very little; I don't know how to put a new wheel. I may probably ask my dealer to put them on (they charge $20/wheel, including balancing).
I meant to mix it in with the motor oil your giving to a recycler, I think the OP understood what I meant.
Tranny fluid is basically oil so they can both be recycled in the same container. brake fluid is no big deal either.
Sorry for the misunderstanding. I get your meaning now. Lucky us we just take it all to any garage. They take it
