Need Help. Camry Wont Accelerate

My 1994 Camry, 4 cylinder has a major problem. This started about two months ago. At stoplights, or stop signs it idles very hard, and then when I try to accelerate, it goes very slowly, and makes awful noise. I have tried to drive it more recently and it starts fine, but when i go to accelerate it goes very slowly and the rpm's are very high. Eventually it will kick and the car will go rather fine. it also works better when its cold, once its hot, it's even worse. When its hot and i give it gas it just bogs down. when im at a stop and try to accelerate and its hot, my car will basically stall, but if i put it in neutral for a second to keep it going it will rev up, but as soon as i put it in drive, it stalls. my dad thought it might be the coolant temperature sensor, but im not sure. PLEASE HELP.

Welcome to TN. Suggest you ask a Mod to put this in gen. 3-4 might give you a better chance at an answer

Good luck
