I found an intercooler (Pics)

It is almost a perfect fit. The pipes are too close together and require cutting and rewelding to the outside of the end tanks.

I also found out when measuring for the brake disc calipers that I need an extra 1 1/4" clearance in the rim of the wheel. I got some enkeis that fit for clearance but I now need to redrill for the 5x100 pattern or get 1 1/2" spacers and some nice fender flares...

I will post pictures of the intercooler when it is rewelded and cleaned up. Also when it is back in place. It fits between the front upper bumper mount trim and the radiator (which will sit nicely in its factory location). This find was very lucky

Wow, looks like a great fitment.. You are lucky that you don't have the A/C condensor in the way Looks like your charge pipes can be shortened dramatically by placing the IC right there

sweet!

what are the dimensions of it. I'm currently in search of an intercooler and just don't know what size to get. somebody was telling me that if you go too big it will do more harm than good. could someone throw some input out for me. btw i'm currently using the ct26 and going to upgrade it soon.

thanks

5x100? How come you have a different bolt pattern than the rest of us?

The one set of wheels I have a drilled for both 5x100 and 5x114.3 whereas the 5 spoke enkei wheels are only 5x100, and they clear the caliper where my 10 spokes don't.
So I have to either drill the hubs to 5x100 or get a big spacer.
But, I haven't found any fender flares...

Btw, I painted my rollcage this evening. It looks good, but I gotta wipe overspray off everything in the shop now. Damn that is way harder to do than paint the outside of a car.

btw, never had a/c.

Also, the intercooler is a modine unit. I will get the dimensions for you later.

A/C is important... It would be much more fun to smoke someone who is sweating like a pig while I whip by in my Camry with A/C in my face
