i was on ebay the other day and i saw a chip that supposedly gave a 20-30 hp boost by fooling the computer about how much air was coming the intake or something like that. it was going for $29 but it all seems kinda sketchy to me. i don't like the idea of fooling my computer in any way but it says that the chip is harmless. would someone please clarify?

Don't buy that chip. Read the feedback for people that have ordered it. It's like a little 5 cent piece of aluminum wire that you have to put on your computer. The instructions are hand-written on the back of a post card. It tricks the MAF sensor into thinking it's getting colder air, which in turn causes your engine to run really rich. You cancel out all your benefits of advanced timing thus losing HP and dirtying your emissions. (I pulled this info off of teamsc3.com) It also says that it will add 20-30 rwhp. I didn't know that the Camry had rear wheel drive...
