Crap, drove thru a pothole...!

So now there's a *pretty loud* knocking noise coming from the front driver's side wheel when it's turning. It won't make the noise when the car is reversing though. It's not even clicking noise, it's like a knock whenever the wheel is turned full circle.

I'm suspecting it's either the hub bearing or the cv boot? I also wonder if it's save to drive it ...?

Weird, right when I want to drive it to the nearest dealership the noise was 100% gone.

Still no noise when the service guy took it for test drive.

Still nothing when I drove it home....

There must have been a hamster stuck on the caliper or something this morning.

That could be a possibility. Hamster usually tend to live in potholes.

If the noise does coem back and you're faced with a repair bill, call the city's Dept of Transport to cover the cost

http://www.city.toronto.on.ca/transp...contact_us.htm

or try this number

This is one problem, however, where the public can help. If you see a pothole on a city street, call the city at 416-599-9090, push #164 and leave a message.
Go and take a picture of the pothole as evidence before they cover it up.
