installing rear pads & rotors 93 le 6cyl.

Would like to know what I'm getting into for a rear brake job for a 93 LE 6 cly camry.

I have done disc brakes before on my jeep and taurus but haven't delt with e-brake in rotor. The pads haven't been replaced in almost 9 years so I know I'm in for a fight to get the rotors off with the New England winters causing rust.

I bought the rotors and pads and not sure what else I need.
Read something about the spindle nut may not be reusable and bedding the e-brake.

Is there some kind of drum under the rotor for the e-brake?

Any help would be appreciated...

It's not that bad if you're technically skilled. Just messy (brake dust). Here's the shop manual with instructions. http://www.**********s.com/camry/

edit: No drum underneath for the e-brake. The shoes just expand and touch the inside of the rotor. The DIY for the lexus es300 rear disc swap for 4cyl camry guys might be helpful for actual pictures of the V6 rear disc set up (the es300 is very similar to the v6 camry). And you shouldn't need more than just the pads and rotors.

Guess I just make sure I don't engage the e-brake and I should be good. I picked up some DOT3 Wearever gold brake fluid. Toyota manual specifies FMVSS#16 Dot #. Will the Wearever fluid be ok to use?

No problem. Any DOT3/4 fluid is okay. Any you shoudln't need it when switching out the pads and rotors.

The fluid is for a brake bleed. I'm going to bleed the brake system while I'm at it. Car has 75k on it and I'm doing all the fluids.
