Anyone ?

I know I can get them off the web in USA, but I hate dealing with the border, exchange, etc.

I know, I know, CamryRR, I'm just checking the rest of the TN community to see what they know

Thanks,

Does the dealer only sell them for Toyota's, or are they a Denso Iridium distributor?

Wow, really ?
I also just heard that CT has NGK Iridiums.
How do they compare to the Denso's ?

Thanks for the info,

they can only get the plugs for certain aplications but most should fit other cars since there are alot of cars that use IK20 plugs.

I called my Toyota dealer today and they have Denso-Toyota replacement plugs.

They carry SK20R11 Denso's - that translates to similar to a IK20, but "SK" = 'Iridium Tipped Electrode' and "R" = Resistor Internal Construction (?). The 20 is the same heat range, 11 is a gap of 0.044" (1.1mm) - same as the IK20.

I guess "Iridium Tipped" is cheaper than the solid Iridium in the IK20, 'cuz the dealer price for the SK20R11's is the same as the Denso-Toyota OEM Platinums @ $11.95 ea.

Will I still get a performance improvement with the SK vs. IK ?

I have sent the same question to Denso, but maybe my question will be answered quicker here  ?

I have a set of Accel plug wires coming, and I'll have a new cap and rotor too, so new plugs are due anyway...

Thanks,

As far as performance goes, IMO you can't get performance increase by changing spark plugs. Most people see the difference through dyno is because their old plugs are worn. Same thing for spark plug wires (Jeff can comment on this).
