Maint Reqd Light

Hi. I have a 2009 Camry LE 4 cylinder. Whenever I start the engine my Maint Reqd light will flash about 8 or 9 times and then go off. I have an OBD scanner which doesn't report any codes. I don't remeber this happening in the past. Does anyone have any ideas what might be going on or know if this has been happening all along and I jut never noticed? Thanks in advance.

It means it's time for an oil change. I think it flashes when it's 4500 miles since the last change. It will stay on at 5,000 miles since the last change, indicating it's time to have the oil changed. It's possible you changed your oil sooner previously, or if you had an oil change in the last 4500 miles whoever did the change did not reset the light. The procedure is in your owner's manaul

That did it. I guess it was never reset after the last oil change. I was also confusing "Maint Reqd" with the "check engine" light. Thanks for the help.
