99 camry with 18" rims

Need some help from all of you guys as to what size tires I should get.

I asked last time and a couple of people said 215/40/18 and yet others said 215/45/18. Which is right?

I wanna make sure I get the right ones the first time and if at all possible, I don't want a big difference between the stock tires and 18" tires performance. (Such as: I'm going 65 mph when I'm really going 60.)

I trying to not mess with the speedometer and odometer as much as I can. Can you guys suggest?

dude its all up to you, we can't make your decision on how much tire sidewall you want. 215/40/18 shouldnt mess with your speedometer as much as the 45 sidewall would. its all up to how much tire you want to see.

I'm running 225-40-18 on 18x7.5 inch wheels with a 43mm offset. The rear fender had to be cut but it is perfect. 215's are to skinny imo. But if you are going with 215's id say go with 215-45-18. How wide are your rims and what is the offset?

yeah i wouldnt go with a 215 my 225/40's are rough enough. my next set is going to be 235-40-18, a little bigger footprint and a little more sidewall. it should fit ok since ive got room in the back. im lowered 1.6 in front 1.5 in back

The rims are ace spyder's in silver with machined lip i got them straight from ace in chino ca. i payed 660 for the rims, I payed 500 otd from americas tire company for my nitto nt-555's. My next set is going to be either the toyo t1-s or the michelin pilot sports. I dont have navigation but i want it, im looking into the eclipse avn2454( i think thats the model #) its awesome. If i wasnt going for some really high end tires i'd probably get the new toyo proxes 4(not the fz4's-those suck)

Have you checked out the new Falken Azenis ST115? Its getting very good reviews online, supposedly super-quiet and good performance.

nah, haven't heard any reviews on the falkens. I was thinking of getting the nitto proxes 4 or the yokohama parada specs. Which do you think is better?

215/45/18 will equal the OEM 27" total diameter. ...a bit on the plus side, maybe 1/4" ... so 1/8" on top.

I have 215's on a 7.5" and I get a smidgen of buldging in the sidewall.

the TOYO proxes 4(not nitto) are prob going to last longer than the paradas and have better wet traction. the paradas are great if your looking for all out dry traction and dont drive that much. The toyos are better in the rain and they still have AA traction. They are a big improvement over the fz4, and they should last alot longer than the paradas. the paradas look really cool though. Im not a really big fan of falkens ive seen alot of defects through my old shop. the nittos are ok but they do have a little road noise. I love the T1-s those tires are baddass.
