Hi,
I am looking for the cheapest price for 2002 Solara V6 (Automatic) supercharger. I asked the dealer shop here in Toronto and they ask me $5258.
If I order it from Toyotaparts4U, how much brokerage fee would UPS charge me? Last time I ordered sway-bar, they charged pretty much for it. The toyotaparts4U has $2800 US which is around $4425 CDN and it is much cheaper than buying it from the dealer shop. If UPS do not charge very much I am going for it.
Secondly, I am looking for very quiet exhaust system just like the stock one, but has better performance.
Please recommend something.
Thank you very much.

Welcome to the forum. Don't forget customs/duties/taxes on top of all that for the s/c. Typically that can get upto about 30% of the value of the goods. I've seen it happen for items that are around $200. I assume the same would hold trie for a $4000 item.

As for exhaust, Brullen Exhaust can make you a good custom exhaust that will not only sound good but also give you good power gains. Go a search or check the recommended shops section.

My experience with shipping stuff across the border is that it adds about 25-33% to the price. That amount includes:
- brokerage charge (to UPS)
- COD charge (to UPS)
- GST (to the Feds)
- sales taxes (to the Provinical Government)

Personally, I would play it safe with the SC and get it through the local dealer. However, I have yet to find a good Toyota dealer for TRD stuff.

BTW, welcome to TN. How did you find out about us?? Hope to see you at one of our future meets.

I purchased the SC from a toyota dealership in SoCal in oct. 2001 for $US2350. If I remembered correctly I was charged around $360 CAD. from UPS. That included the gst and the brokerage fee. Of course i'm in alberta so there is no provincial sales tax.

hmmm...which dealer did you pick it up from? I'm guessing either West Covina Toyota, Carson, or North Hollywood.

what is the performance data for a Solara or a Camry equipped with a TRD supercharger? Can it outperform the new Altima 3.5??
