Question about CLEANING THE INTERIOR of my camry..

If I want to clean up the carpets (ie: remove stains, dirt, etc..) what's a good product to use? Also: can I used the same product on the seats and apholstry that I use on interior carpets..?

Thanks everyone...

Also: What's the best place online/price to buy a bodykit for my 2000 camry?

If it's really bad(and you mentioned stains so I assume it is) you should go rent a carpet shampooer.
I know you can get them here at various hardware stores and I think a grocery store or two.

That's the only way to get those tough stains out less you scrub with your hands. In that case you shoud go buy some carpet shampoo and an aggressive brush.

I use armour-all (sp?) oxi clean for my interior. I haven't had any huge stains to try it on, so I can't say how great it is. I spilled a soda a couple days ago and it came right out with it. I'd imagine if you sprayed it on, let it sit then used a shopvac to take it off, you'd get better results.

...hope that helps.

i hook up a hose to the hot water tank, and get in the car with steaming hot water and a shop vac (until most of the salt stains are gone then i'll use a carpet shampoo)

I've had great results using a bucket of near-hot water with a little gentle detergent and baking soda. Once I've cleaned the target area by gently sponging on some of this mixture, I use my mega-power shop vac to suck it out. Then I use several cycles of plain water and the shop vac until the area is effectively "rinsed."

A couple years ago, my youngest daughter erupted in the back of my wife's car, leaving it pretty much saturated with, and reeking of, fresh puke. After initial removal of the bulk chunks, I covered the seats with extra baking soda, and then used this procedure. After the last extraction of rinse water (following about six cycles of rinsing), I left it in the garage over night, doors open, with a couple fans blowing air around the interior. In the morning, there was no detectable puke odor at all, and the seats looked great.

Oh yeah, once you get it clean and dry, LOAD it with Scotchguard. It will be a lot easier to clean next time if you do.

What would take out a huge-ass splotch of DOT 3 brake fluid that leaked from inside the firewall due to what was a leaky clutch master cylinder Nothin, I'd imagine...

the brake fluid would probably just damage whatever it lands on

have you seen what it does to paint?
