Radiator Fan not turning on when Idle

2000 Camry 4 cyl

Both fans turn on after I turn the AC on but if the AC isnt on neither fan will turn on. I have recently replaced the radiator due to a crack in the radiator. Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

That's normal. I've had my 4 banger camry for 12 years and the cooling fans rarely go on at idle. The engine doesn't get too hot idling unless you let it idle for a pretty long time closer to 10 Min's before the fans come on..and even if they do they only stay on for a minute or two.

^ What rnaz1017 said. The only addition I can make is that at idle only one fan will come on to cool the radiator, not both fans as happens with the A/C.

It is all electric with temp sensors. They come on when needed. The A/C loads up the engine and causes them both to work. Just check temp gage you will see if working or not.
