finally i can put duals on my wagon just can't decide on a tip. i like the pace setter but i don't wanna *bite* off any one else. i was thinking about rectangular tips tucted to match the bumper conturs. he said 180 including the mufler and he was going to do the front y pipe also. and is there some sort of new technique to balance both sides? cause he said he had an idea on how to make it sound better...
the car is kinda on the very low melow side of sound but it seems to be quicker. and it not the straight trough cherry bombs it's: CHERRY BOMB® TURBO II MUFFLERS
High-performance, aluminized turbo mufflers last up to 30 percent longer than regular turbo mufflers!
$19.99 - $22.95 (5 items)
they sell them on jcwhitney.com but i got both of mine for $25 and i went for the 2 in pipe instead of 2 1\4 cause i figure since the pipe splits into two i don't need to continue it at the same size and i have yet to find a good tip.
i will be posting pics up around the 16th or 17 of this month i,m not sure how to do sound though
I want to do something to my exhaust to make it sound better. I like the way Audi's sound... They aren't loud and raw.. But they make an agressive noise when you get on it.. Especially the S* series..
myconid, do you have a third row seat? and do you have a system or plan on putting one in? and if you are going to do an exhaust and don't want to spend the money you could always do what i did but clamp them instead of welding thembut the y pipe you woul have to weld i just didn't want to spend the money and then not like the way it sounds cause the muffler guy would not want to redo it free of charge cause i don't like the tone.
Yes I have 3rd row seating. I have thought many times about boxing it off for some thump, but I use it for storage quite often.
I know how to weld, and have done my own work on previous cars. Right now I need to put money into other things though, like a power steering pump, some tires, and them start buying 5 speed conversion parts.
about the third seat, in that tub area there is a ledge you can see it better if you cut the carpet away you can fit a piece of medium density fiber board on that ledge and mount 3 8in speakers 3 10inch speakers 2 12 inch speakers or 1 15inch speaker, but if you use half you can mount a 12inch and it will still sound good and you'll be bale to keep you seat and some storage if you mount the amp in between the second and third row seat that part comes off by removing two screws and pulling up on it. you can cut it to fit an amp or there is a spot at the very rear driverside that you can acces both are good places to put an amp. you'll still have the stock look and you can have a hidden sound system you'll have less of a chance of getting robbed i just tell everyone the bais is comming from the stock speakers
