only a couple of more hours, my neighbor down the street is doing it for me. He works at a bodyshop in cerritos. He does some excellent work. I used to help him with some harleys he painted and old school hotrods, and man it was some of the best work i've ever seen. hopefully mine will turn out awesome. Whats really cool about this is that i got a minor dent in the quarter panel and the ins. company gave me 850$ to fix it. So i figure its a good time to do the whole body in a color that i want. I only had to pay an extra 400 bucks to do the whole car. And i dont have to drive anywhere to pick it up he just drove it to his work from my house and he's driving it back today. talk about service huh? I got the idea for the color after browsing the clublexus forum and seeing this carbluelex from clublexus
The original color was the dark blue, I think it was called midnight blue pearl. It was a nice color, just not exactly what I wanted. I had a dent that needed to be fixed and a new rear bumper cover that needed to be replaced and painted. All together it was 1,200
but i only had to come out of pocket 350$ for the paint and 110$ for the factory bumper cover(which lists for 167$ plus tax). Im very happy with how it turned out.
also he's my neighbor so he hooked me up. i had a couple of shops estimate the bodywork and to paint the area damaged and i got anywhere from 1350$ to 2087$ i had the whole car painted including a bunch of door dings fixed and the rear quarter panel fixed. I even had some interior pieces painted.
