Hi,
I'm thinking rebuilding or parting out my old 3vz-fe engine (I swapped a 3vz-fe from japan recently).. the only things to change on the previous engine were the rings/gaskets/bearings.. the parts of the engine are REALLY clean and don't seems to have 320000km.. Ben-RR and me were very surprised when I disassembled the engine.
What do you guys suggest.. I was thinking cleaning everything and sell all the parts separately or should I rebuild the engine ?
Selling everything would pay for the new engine and maybe help a lot the turbo project of Ben-RR.. before selling I would get the head ported and sell them ported.
On the other hand, rebuilding the engine, I would have 2 choice.. sell the engine rebuilt or build it for a lot of power N/A or ready for a lot of boost to implant in my car.
What do you guys think.
Thanks,
--Ben
Is anyone interrested in any parts ?
If you need any pics, I got everything in my basement and I can take a couples of pictures if you need.
u can use it as a template to do the turbo headers and pipes then you can port &polish the heads and intake to get ready for the turbo then sell the rest as a rebuilt engine if you can find a buyer.
The new engine is WOW.. runs perfectly.. Ben-RR and me did a very good job with the swap and we're talking about the turbo setup now.. we need to find a lift and do some measurements.. I completely trust NaganoJapanese and if I had to buy an other engine, I'll get it from there.
Okay, they have some problems speaking french or english but carefully choose your new engine and you won't have troubles
Don't forget to change the timing belt and the spark plugs on the new engine.. and if you want to go further, change the head gaskets and everything will be like new

If you have a garage and pay the gas/food and maybe a little extra, maybe Ben-RR and me can come to your place and do the swap in 2 days for less than 3k ;-)
no man if you do the heads up there, then i pay you a core charge, you send them down, i install them here using seans help, send you my old ones, you reimburse the core charge.. done deal- no travel necessary.

The thing is that the head work (using the flow bench and knowledge of the guy who owns it) doesn't cost 0$, I can't trade ported heads for stock heads.. Also, everything pass trough shiftgateperformance.com
