Another indiglo gauge question

Well I have a generation 4 camry with the indiglo's installed, but of course there is a problem...

The indiglo's look fine by day, but by night they do not work (not doing what intended to do) only the regular backlights of the old gauges light it up.

The indiglo's were *supposed* to work when hooked up to the headlights, everything I believe was plugged in correctly.. Because I thought there was something wrong with the power converter for te gauges I bought an entire new set (same thing)

This time before re-installing the gauges I hooked up the 12v to the car battery....but the new set did not work(mind you the car was on and the switch was turned on, and the lights were off)

soooo Im getting a little angry at the whole thing, what do I do from here ???

ok, I see, also for the second set of gauges that I have is there any way to test them per se before actually reconnecting everything just to see if it works ?

splice them into the light for the cig light then you can control the dim also (it's alot simpler to do it that way). are they rev glo or standard? cause all you'll see is white cause it's more prominent do they work at night?
