Coupla problems with my poor Camry

2 issues have arisen:

1) I need to do an alignment/balance. One of my rims has lost it's weight, and the potholes have done damage to my alignment. Where, in the GTA, can I get it done for a fairly good price? I've heard performance tire shops with a Hunter system (?), but I need some recommendations.

2) my parking brake has seized (fuked up spring won't release) and I want to release the spring. However, I don't want to take it to the dealership, so I ask is there a way to open up the drum brake housing myself and check the spring?. Where else can I go to get this done, without handing over my wallet?

Thanks for the input, if ANY. My poor Camry...for now, I can't drive it

Redline

p.s. My Camry gen is in my sig

thanks adjag, but I know that the cable is seized and needs to be replaced. I'm looking specifically for instructions on how to take apart the housing and tweaking the "organs" to fix my problem

do yourself a favor and buy a 'chiltons maintenance/repair' manual.

its only $18 and will save you time, money, and frustration

^ yah, I probably should. Unfortunately, I can't seem to find any at local retailers, and I don't have an EBAY account to purchase one. Someone willing to lend me one, or sell one to me if they can get a hold of a copy? My car is in my sig, and I live in Toronto.

More assistance plz

I was lookin at my rims, and I've lost the weights on one wheel and some have shifted on the other wheels. I know when the wheel is turning, the shifted weights could cause an imbalance, but is it severe enough for to worry about?

just remove the cable from the parking brake lever and pull the cable out. then you won't have an emergency brake but your rear won't lock up. and i wish i could help you with the first but i don't know much about canada.

I knew a mechanic who would send a copy of a repair manual with every new customer, just so they would try to fix it, f' it up, and then come right back to him to fix their screw up.

someone from the forum recommended Gilman Sport, 1940 Ellesmere (W. McCowan), Scarborough, ON
(416) 289-1388/416-438-5548 for alignments. Give it a try.

Well...

The Crappy Tire has the Haynes manual, which is alright for basic maintenance,

I usually go to Green Bay Tire, on 60 Green lane (green lane and bayview) call (905) 881-0548. They do things very quickly and are not expensive.
