today i was following another gen 3 camry, and i've noticed something. that gen 3 have one of their exhaust pipe that bends towards the ground, as if it looks like it's gonna scrape the ground if it goes over any big bumps... isn't that a bit dangerous?
does anyone notice that?
will a custom exhaust fix this issue? or will any exhaust do the same thing as this is how camry was designed to be?
I got the SAME exact prblem. I even pointed it out to Luistol and Zoni Camry at our last TN meet. I have had no time to get down there to see what I can do to fix the situation. Sometimes I hear it scrape the ground when I drive over a purtuding manhole.

i thought all camrys have that mid section which bends down real low? I check out every camry i see cause i scaped mine alot when i lowered it a while back and almost all camrys had lower bent piping than other sedans.

I see it on lexus cars also, though not as obvious, on camry gen5 it looks even lower than on a gen3..some weird design by toyota, must be good for something
Yeah. Just like eye8pussies said. I got a catback exhaust and it doesn't bend towards the ground like that now. The stock pipe did though just as all of the gen3 camry that I've seen do.
i noticed it also... although when i went to the mechanic and saw under the car the piping goes under this thin bar between the rear wheels.... and i though to myself... how much closer could i get my exhaust pipes so that it wouldn't scratch....
ah.. i dunno

but is the low-hanging pipe dangerous? it won't come off if i hit a bump or a deep pothole right?? i'm worried that if one day i go over a bump or a deep pothole w/o noticing it and it would snap off hahah...
so a new custom exhaust will fix this problem right? with like a straight through exhaust?
