it was just an example of it I am not using the place in the link. It said it comes with all clamps hoses etc... but the intake itself looks like that would i be able to attach the afm to it?
I'm pretty sure they just posted up a generic pic of an intake system...they used the same pic for the Corolla and Camry 4 banger. That pipe totally doesn't look right at all for the 3VZ. In any case, intake system for the 92-93 are different than the 94-96 Camries.
The problem with the ad is that it doesn't say if it's a cold air intake or a short ram. For a 93 V6, to make a short ram intake, all you need is a AFM adaptor and an air filter...can be bought as a combo for $29 at procarparts.com. For a full cold air system, it should show two separate pipes. For the 94-96 V6's, you don't need an MAF adaptor...I believe you can just attach a 3" pipe to it with a 3" hose connector.
They're selling this for $59.95 so it's definitely not a CAI (they would advertise that anyway). So it could be the piping between the throttle body and AFM...but I think the only company that makes it for the V6 is EL Prototype...not even sure if they make it for the 3VZ...I think it's only for the 1MZ.
So you might get ripped off and you'll be buying an adaptor and filter for $54, or you might just get a pipe that's totally not for your car. Better call and ask them to send you a pic or something...who knows WTF they're selling!
You should look into constructing your own CAI, there has been numerous posts about this in the past few weeks. You'll save money, learn something and have a mod that actually adds to the car's performance.

Maybe when I get it I can retro fit it an make some diy caI
~I have a 3VZ-FE
~it is a 1993 v6 xle
~an have removed the air box only and where the box was is a cone air filter attached to the stock hose.
i ordered a 3.0l ractive intake that "saids" it is for the 3.0l 92-96 camry. I am asking will this just replace the stock hose and if so how do i attach the afm to it!?
It is a 2 part question i guess ..
1) Will it work
2) if so how do i attach the afm(it is afm cuz it is a gen3 v6(1993) i belive after my yr it was a maf. It's that stupid silver box that sits between the stock hose and the filter
lets PLEASE not post anymore on this topic before we see a pic of the item when you recieve it... nothing will get answered without a pic of the item, cause nobody knows what exactly you will be getting.
