92 camry 5sfe ingition issue

Please help me get my car running again.

I have a 92 camry with a 5sfe motor and I am getting no spark. I tested the two poles (+ an -) on the ignition coil with the key in the "on" position and I get positive but a no negative. I checked the electrical connection that supplies positive and negative to the distributor and can conclude that I get only a weak ground from that wire. I know I could clear this up with a wiring diagram but at the moment I am tight on cash. Thanks for any help.

There are Toyota factory service manuals stickied at the top of the Camry forum over at AutomotiveForums.com. Go there and download the generation 3 manual. It should have what you need in section IG (Ignition System).
