HELP! The Driver's Door Won't Open!!

Wife came home today and said "oh by the way the car is broke...the door won't open..." I go out into the garage and pried open the window gap. I peeked down the gap with a flashlight and watched the latch release handles operate the linkage to the latch but it simply won't unlatch and open. The inside lock button does have a little catch when unlocking it manually. The key lock also has the same catch to it when unlocking. I need to get the door open so I can pull the door panel off and check it out. Any suggestions short of using a hole saw?
Thanks,
JR

a body shop can open it for you, no need to saw. try and get a guy thas done it before, cuz i went to several shops and some guys couldnt figure it out, but this guy knew what to do from the get-go.

how he did it exactly, i am not sure. i think he got in throught that black panel inside the car next to the window, around the area of the side view mirror. hope this helps. mine was broke too, he fixed it for less than 170. turned out the entire mechanism was fubar. good luck
