Dimming Camry Headlights

Ok, well I have been messing with my headlights some, trying to sand them down and make them clear, but I have had a few problems. First when I put the headlight in the oven for like 5 minutes, part of it caved in, giving it the appearance like I had run into a telephone pole. Second, I put it back together and now the left turn singal clicker in the car is going twice as fast as the other one. I am pretty sure this is the way of the car telling me something is wrong with it. I think the problem may be that the turn signal looks a lot duller than the one on the other side. What could I have done to cause this? Some advice or troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. Be careful putting your headlights into the oven. Keep an eye on them!

lol, maybe we should have specified that ytou must have a grown up do this...

i'd just buy a new set of headlight (or a pair so they won't look different) i think silver streak is selling a couple

the faster blinker is telling you that one of your turn signal bulb filaments is dead (turn signals are dual filament)

did you turn off your oven after you pre-heated it ????

buy a new pair of turn signal lights. Should fix the problem.

I forgot to turn off the oven... I think that was the problem. Are you sure that the problem is with the bulb? Would that cause the turn signal clicker to go twice as fast? And lastly, if I have to replace the bulb, does anyone know if the blue turn signal bulbs that you see are any good? Are they legal? Thanks!

not in ohio it isn't legal. most places a blue light is gonna be illegal. yes, it most likely is the bulb dead.

You may not run into any problems with a hyper white blinker. Thats what I have. Since some cars come with clear signals stock. That shouldnt' be a problem. As long as its not blue. Cops have a problem with blue. They are THEIR colors.

ok, I think ill just get a hyperwhite instead of a blue. I have one more question though, where can I get euro taillights for a 98 Camry? If there arent any, what euro taillights could I buy and then modify to fit the 98?
