Engine Problem

Hi I just purchased I '93 Camry XLE V6 about 1 1/2 months ago. I just changed the oil yesterday to Mobil 1 10w30. I have been getting a low idle about 5-6 secs after a complete stop. Could it be because of the oil? What causes a low idle? It goes down to about 700-750 rpms.

Well maybe its lower than that. It starts to drop and as it drops down the car starts to shake then after 6-7 secs it goes back up.

Thats not the first time I've heard that. How do I do these things. The search didn't help. I also saw a post that you told somebody how to do a ghetto tranny flush. How do I do that too?

It's either the IAC or the TPS but it's more likely to be the IAC (I would think)
Well you just have to disconnect the air intake tube going to the throttle body, start engine and spray carburator cleaner, clean with a teeth brush. There is a very detailed procedure on this website if you use the search button. Good luck !

This oil is very good for the engine. And it is by no mean the reason of your problem.

I use 5W30 Mobile 1 in my 2000 V6 Camry. I have never had a problem. Check your owners manual to see if 5W30 is more appropriate. The 10W30 won't hurt.

I had just changed my oil last week. Come to find out, I only put in 4 qts. I added oil and haven't been having the problem. Thanks though. I kinda semi-cleaned the throttle body but the problem doesn't persist. Thanks guys. I went ahead and did a ghetto CAI while I was at it.
