In the next chapter of my rim saga, I have just unconvered something new. I met this guy who has a connection to order rims directly from Japan! The prices he gave me are unbelievably cheap! He is from the maxima.org board. Anyway, as many of you know, I was debating between the Volk TE37 and Racing Hart CP-035 for my lightweight rim selection. I also was looking at the SSR Competitions (Type C) but in North America they were not available in the 16x7 size that I wanted. But this guy is able to get that rim in that size from Japan. So now I am asking for all your help again! Please give me your order of preference between these 3 rims:
Volk Racing TE37: http://y42.photos.yahoo.com/bc/armani99xxx/vwp2?.tok=bcXpGc7AjFWzMEYd&.dir=/Car&.dnm=te37.jpg&.src=ph
Racing Hart CP-035: http://y42.photos.yahoo.com/bc/armani99xxx/vwp2?.tok=bchpGc7AHUaTFgJd&.dir=/Car&.dnm=racinghart_cp035_wheel_2.jpg&.src =ph
SSR Competition (Type C): http://y42.photos.yahoo.com/bc/armani99xxx/vwp2?.tok=bcqpGc7ARRVDImqp&.dir=/Car&.dnm=ssr_comp_a.jpg&.src=ph
I would be getting it in polished silver along with centre caps.
Thanks for helping me again guys. :smile:

First you said Racing Hart then you said SSR and now you're saying Volk!
I'll chalk up your vote as neutral in the final tally! hehe :smile:

Anish, here are my thoughts on the three final candidates!
Volk Racing: Instant recognition, great name. The only drawback is that the rice factor is very high and it may be too played out at this point. Also, the bronze may not look good on your taupe car. The white may look better. I'm not sure. It's best to have one put up against your car and see for yourself.
Racing Hart: Another great name, but the style is not as readily identifiable as the Volk. Is there a way you can get a center cap on the wheel? Our hubs are rusted and nasty.
SSR: A really good brand, though people may not know it as well as the Volk or RH. But they are great wheels nonetheless. The grey/gunpower will look real good on your car. If you want to be unique, go with these!!
As I said, it's best to put the wheels up against your car and see how it goes with the rest of your car, much like picking out a tie to go with your suit and shirt. It's difficult to pick out the wheels just from looking at pictures alone. I know you want everyone's input on the wheels, and you've actively sought the opinions of everyone at the CM forum. But at the end, it's your call. Having said that, I would personally pick the SSRs, with the RHs being second.

I'm SUPER, thanks for asking;
All things considered I couldn't be better I must say.
I'm feeling SUPER, no, nothing bugs me;
Everything is SUPER when you're...
I was thinking almost exactly the same as you were and also the added technical info about the SSR's being the lightest, cheapest and strongest among those three.
The guy from the Maxima board that's ordering them from Japan seems legit since he's posted over 2000 messages on that board. So he shouldn't be hard to find in case I find out that he is playing with me! In any case I'll pay by credit card or money order to be safe.
I will be getting silver rims btw. Most people forget to read to the bottom of the post (not you Jeff) and start commenting on the colour of the rims in the pic as the ones I will be getting. Wrong! :smile:
I can't wait to see your rims Jeff.

Spectra Blue Camry How much did those mags cost i want them too they are so dam solid and light i would love to get some 18" Legerras.i would just like an estimate of the price.:smile:
Hey, I don't know much about rims but I think they all look great. Just go for the one that looks best on your car. That's how I pick and choose. If they're all in silver, I think they'll all match nicely. I'd take anyone of them. Put it this way, we can keep on comparing things side by side but once the rims are on the car, the other rims won't be there to compare to...so as long as it looks nice, your good to go!
I saw you take a poll on the Camry newsgroup as well! Did you read about that one guy who was saying it was a waste of money to buy such expensive rims and put them on a car that's worth less than them? He got bashed by another guy saying he obviously didn't understand what modding a car was all about!
hehe yeah I read that... that guy was a moron... probably some 50 year old guy who bought it to drive his family around and get groceries :smile:
DOH! That's what my dad bought his 2000 Camry XLE V6 for too!

Good luck on the rims!
