muffler question

does anyone know what size the stock muffler tips are on a 5s-fe camry. I was looking to get a new muffler, but i don't know the right size inlet to get for the new muffler.

i believe that the size of the tail pipe (after the muffler) is the same size as the rest of the piping...could be wrong though

Someone correct me if Im wrong but I believe the 5SFE piping is 2" and the 1MZFE is 2 1/4". If you want to know what inlet size to get for your muffler, this is the information that is relavent.

i know for sure the 1MZs are 2 1/4", because when I got my custom catback made a while ago, I upgraded the piping to 2.5"

yeah...the 5f-se is 2". But when i got my pipe it didn't matter because i got all new piping anyways (3").
so you can get your piping made to fit the muffler or you can just keep the stock 2" piping.

Good Luck

kind of related. Did you guys notice any performance increases with a new catback?

I'm thinking of eventually (when I get enough money, and do a couple other little mods) getting a flowmaster or apexi ws catback and I'd just like to know how to quantify it. Thanks.
