Okay, so I want to make the inside of my Camry look a little nicer. Already swapped in reverse indiglo's, anyone have any ideas for what I can do with the instrument panel? I want a blue look, but I've gone through hell trying to get it.
Without the stock green sheaths on the bulbs, it does shine through as white light, so the front panel isn't painted green or anything...
I can seem to get a near-stock green with blue saran wrap
I've tried a blueish felt-tip pen, but it was too opaque and the panel was way dark.
I have no more ideas, and can't seem to find little sheaths to cover the bulbs from any local stores
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance...
edit: Oh, by the way... The lights I'm trying to change out are TINY... like barely 1cm across on the back where it screws onto the circuit board. These are the ones behind the heat/air conditioning controls in my gen2

you know, i really like the lighting in vw interiors--with their blue theme and all. i think it'd be nice to be able to emulate that.
Okay, so one of the guys at the local stereo shop says that he can get the little sheaths for me. I showed him the tiny bulbs and he said it'd be no problem... now hopefully he'll follow through with that
Otherwise, i'm destined to have a funky green dash forever... *sniffle*

You might be able to replace those small bulbs with LEDs. That is what I did with the gauge cluster in my Gen3. I did an all-red gauge cluster. It would be nice to change the A/C, clock, etc all to red too... would be very Audi of me.

ratko cant do the a/c part i tried one reason the color is not on the bulb.. the bulbs in there dont have the condom covers!! the color tint is on the outer covering of the plastic which means its the actual picture color of the center console i tried to do that like 3 years ago.. no can do even toyota said u cant they sell the blue condom covers for that size but they said it wouldnt make a diff cos the color of the images there are all green tinted in the back..
