Lightbulb Are fibergalss bumpers worth it?

Hey, I have a 1997 and i purchased a TRD bodykit this winter and was very excited to put on my car, i love the way it looks... BUT
ive been noticing how nice other camrys look with the aftermarket "blackwidow" front bumpers. The problem is that they are fiberglass. (i had a run in with a deer and cracked my front bumper so i needed a new front bumper anyway. Stock= $100 dollars : Fiberglass = $300ish)

I live in NY and its pretty hilly and i am worried that if i hit it, it will shatter and i am worried about fittment. Is it going to fit perfect or am i going to have to modify it (more $$$)?

I would just get the front bumper, and leave the rest of the car TRD bodykit, i dont like the back bumpers and side skirts for a Gen 4 ..YUK

Do the positives outweigh the negatives ? Anyone with experience let me know!

a fiberglass bumper will take quite a beating, ive hit so many holes and bumps. i did manage to break mine, it didn't shatter just a crack in the bottom. the biggest problem i had with the fiberglass is rocks coming off the tires and chipping the shit out of it. so after one summer i'm having the kit repainted. just remember , you can still break the trd bumper to, i broke my stock bumper hitting a cat at 55

I have the BW front and now wish i had the evo front just because so many people have it. Ihave managed to smack a dog at about 45 mph and break the bumper into 3 parts. But, because me and a couple of my friends can work with fiberglass you wouldnt be able to tell it was ever broken its up to you the do crack and you will have to repair ut at som point

i woulda tried fiberglassing it myself but the coyote took the chunk with him. He actually bounced off of my car at 80 mph and my friend w. a 2.5 drop on his civic ran him over

in the process of updating the front end of the car.

Yeah, or you can run into a car's rear bumper at about 25mph like I did.
