Hi, I have a Gen3 V6 Cam....
I was wondering if the Eibach I4 springs would fit my V6 Cam.???
The reason that I want to do that is because the I4 Eibach has more drop in the front, like 1.2 inches, instead of 1 inch for V6s.
And is the Eibach springs for the I4 less firm comparing to the V6s Eibach springs? (Assuming that the V6 would have a heavier engine)
What type of eibach's u referring to....sportline or the prokit?
Prokit is the closest to the factory softness u can get w/ lowering.
Sportline u kep more lowering with more firmness.
I don't know if they will fit, but I don't think it would be a good idea since you're putting on springs that have a set spring rate for a lighter engine onto a car with a heavier engine.
Also, you must consider: are you doing the struts as well, or have you done them already? If you want to drop your car, you might want to do the struts and springs all at once.
Check out the FAQ for more info...or do a few searches. This topic has been discussed before.
I'm using i4 front springs right now.
I started off w/ the v6 springs, and it was perfectly fine and even, but once I got my lip, I wanted a lower drop in the front, and I wanted to keep the quality that eibach has so I switched the fronts the the i4 springs (the rears for both ar the same)
the spring rate is the same, just one was designed to hold more weight thatn the other, this is achieved by the i4 springs being physically shorter than the v6 springs

cause I want to see what will a Gen 3 look like with Eibach...~
And Eye8, how much did your previous set of Eibach settle to?

I think...that the drop will be more like 1.25 with engine and maybe 1.3 after you get in? Correct me if im wrong but i think it might make your springs sag faster...
option: I'll see if I can post a pic later, but I gotta reinstall photoshop first.....but I'd say that the v6 eibachs drop the car about 1.75" or so, and then i4 springs do a bit over 2.....but this is all after fully settling (possibly couple of months for brand new springs)
and
camnub: eibach springs don't ever sag
whatever the drop is that they advertise, it'll be more....just sadly, even a 1.75" does not seemingly drop the car that much since stock height is similar to that of a 4x4

thanks for trying Eye8......Maybe, I'll have to go to the next meet at the East End to see your drop, but by that time, my car would probably dropped with Eibach already...~
