Hey guys,
I have a question about my car. Usually I let my car warm up for 30 seconds to one minute before taking off. I noticed when the engine is cold it will hesitate when I accelerate. I have to do it gradually. As soon as it warms up everything is fine. I think it is ''normal'' because the engine is not warmed up but I read on this forum that it could be the fuel pump going bad. Maybe I am paranoid but on the way back from work, I noticed my car was somewhat hesitating (barely) on the freeway. I was driving at 65,70 MPH and I tank was at 1/4. (I never let it go below that)
I noticed something else also; a little bit before the car reached its normal temperature (almost there) the idle will drop to (around) 575, 600 RPM. As soon as the car is warmed up; it idles perfect. I have a V6 5 speed with 155,000 miles and I am planning to take a trip to canada. I just wanted to have your opinion on this and see if a fuel pump could go out like that without giving any warning signs....
Thanks!
