Hopefully I'm contributing something (finally). You CAN change the plugs without pulling the intake manifold (thanks to the people who answered that one for me!).

You'll need two extensions (6"-ish and 3"-ish), two u-joints, a swivel head ratchet and about 30 minutes. Remove the crankcase hose and "grounding wire" on the passenger side of the plenum for clearance.
