RPM questjion

hehe, im back again. Just wondering, what would be the effect of stepping on the gas too hard, other than wasting gas? What would be the normal RPM range for starting?

When do i ever use 2, or L? I was driving in the moutains yesterday, i shifted to 2 while driving, and when the car goes down a hill, the RPM increases....i thought it was on cruise! man, what a noob i am.....any suggestions?

Around 2000rpm, i can feel the shiftting, the cars "stops" for one split of a second, then runs like crazy.......is that normal?

thanks^^

stepping on gas hard may change the ECU setting if you do it long enough. something along the line hahaha

you use 2 or L when you are going up hill slowly or when you accelerate slowly on snow, or you can race someone on tracific light although it doesn't help much LoL

how fast were you going downhill ????? if your going over like 60km and pull it down to 2 your RPM will increase cause your shifting down one gear and your car will slows down. but this is not very friendly to your transmission tho.

when your car shift i think its suppose to stop, if like you said it stops for "one slpilt sceond" then i think it normal. my car's like that too

You could always convert it. To a 3vz-fe that is. I'm still asking around to figure out what the difference is, but I haven't got it all down. But thet made a manual for the 3vz-fe.

wrong. the gen 3 1mzfe in the cam never came w/ a 5 spd. but you can swap in a 5spd from the solara 1mzfe from the 1st and 2nd gen no prob. or probably even a (rare) 5spd from the 1mz in the 4th gen cam.

ratko has done it, originally he swapped in a 5 spd from a 3vz, but now he has the solara tranny.

and if you guys don't know who ratko is, then you should be banned!
he and ekam run THIS SITE!
