i just washed my car less than a week ago... and when i did, there was a buttload of tar-like stuff on the inside of my front driver side rim. the wierd thing is, this is the only rim i get it on, the other 3 are clean. just today i can already see the "tar" beginning to build up again.

im afraid that something might be either leaking or blown. what could this be? is it brake fluid? my reservoir is still pretty full, i havent had to refill in weeks, maybe months.

could my axle be blown again? i just replced it less than 6 mos. ago...

i really need some feedback guys... i gotta know if this could be a serious problem. for now, the serious problem is that its a bitch to clean

dammit i just replaced that a year ago. is there a reason why the cv boot might be going out so quick? i have a feeling... if i dont get the cv boot fixed, it would set off a domino effect, wearing out the other suspension components faster

That's a good thing about having alloys, instead of steelies. You can actually see your brakes and CV boots leaking instead of steelies which cover everything up.

BTW, I had the same thing happen...both my CV boots went in the same month, it was kinda weird.

are your cv joints the kind that bolt onto the transmission? also does you car have abs? there is no difference in any way for 94 camry v6 of right or left axle or even if it has abs or not so you can pay for the cheaper one and also buy just one and bring your other back as a warranty so you'll get end up buying one and getting one free

I had my CV boots replaced 2 years ago. The boots themselves cost $50 for both. I then got a friend to install them for another $50. Cheaper then what the dealer wanted $350!!!
