Would a viscous LSD from a JDM MR2 Turbo be worth getting for around $250? Would it work fine in FWD (I read something about ratios being wrong maybe)

I've read there may be reliability issues, how hard are they to rebuild?

It would work fine... but you have to have the correct MANUAL tranny for it to work in your car.

It will be going into an e153 from a '99 Solara.

It would work, but it may be worth the extra money for a clutch type or gear type, depeneding on if you are doing the work or not.

I will be doing the work. I don't have the money for a clutch or gear type now, and when I do have the money, I'll want to spend it elsewhere. It's not worth that much to me to have a LSD.
