cherry bomb did nothing.??! why?

I put a 2.5" cherry bomb muffler in place of the stock resonator an i have a ractive dtm. I was expecting to get a little louder deep tone rumble then wha ti had with the stock res. an i have no change maybe even a little less...why is that??

just cut the resonator out! it only gets a bit louder when you take it out.. by putting a muffler in there you are basically just putting in another resonator and getting no result

it is a glass pack and alot smaller then the stock. wouldn't it be almost like a stright pipe? I thought that the cherry bomb would be loud it is used on muscle cars etc... and it is really loud an deep. why isn't it loud?

its cuz they use it as a muffler, you already have a muffler...

also they have huge v8 engines, you have a 3.0L little v6

Ohh =)...what if i change it to a bigger muffler like the n1 or something would it be louder an deeper then?

just take it out, replace it with a straight pipe (the cherry bomb that is)

or use it as your muffler, that'll be loud

i forgot who it was but i saw someones sight that had added a 2.5 cherry bomb as a resonator an was under the premissssss(ed) ..heh that it was going to make it louder an deeper tone to my exhaust...lol o well it at least took like 2oz off my frame make me that much lighter..lol Any performace gain (i doubt it) like .00000001 hp with the AM glass pack res.
