problems starting car

i have an 98 avalon and i am having trouble starting the car. I sure its not the battery because i had replace it recently. It takes several turns to start the car. when it does not start, i hear clicks, must be from a relay. Im thinking that it has a problem with a starter with the contacts or the ignigter or something with the ignition sytem. any advice would be helpful

i don't think it's your starter if you hear clicks. check your wires, may be your battery's low again. or something in the ignition system

Sounds exactly like a bad starter, but check your battery connections as well.

what you hear is probably the plunger for the starter

the starter motor is getting worn and sticking in between poles of magnets,

take a hammer and hit your starter motor with the handle, it should start no problem (temporary fix, youi'll have to replace it)
